Omid Rahimi (born August 26) is a director, producer, TV presenter, radio announcer, political activist, media activist and independent journalist who has also been active in the field of music as a producer and programmer.

Biography
Omid Rahimi is from Tehran and started his activity at the age of eight by teaching story writing at the Children and Adolescents Intellectual Development Center. At the age of 17, he published his first collection of poems under the name Rain Poet. After that, he wrote in many publications and newspapers, including Abrar newspaper and education growth magazines. He wrote plays for children and adolescents and then began his career in the theater as a writer, director and actor. After graduating in directing, he started working in the field of television programming, and in many Persian television shows outside of Iran, including: Mohajer TV, Iran Music, pmc, gem, pdf, Mohajer Network, Nahahang, etc., with positions such as broadcast manager, producer, director and presenter. Omid Rahimi has also produced more than 100 episodes of radio podcasts on Radio Nawahang as a producer and announcer. His other media activities include managing Radio Nawahang and later managing Nawahang TV. In his television programs, he repeatedly criticized the policies of the Iranian government in the field of music and the demarcation of underground and licensed music, as well as the ban on the presence of women in music as singers and in the media outside of Iran. He was repeatedly arrested by the Ministry of Intelligence, the Intelligence Service of the police and the IRGC, and finally tried in Branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court. He was forced to leave his homeland after a trial and several arrests and work bans. Initially, he entered Tajikistan and did a lot of artistic, media and journalistic activities there, but in general, his artistic activities diminished and as an independent journalist and political activist, he openly opposed the principle of Velayat-e Faqih and the Islamic Republic. Omid Rahimi has founded several campaigns so far, including the campaign, 'I do unfollow- Government Celebrity'.
